!

If you were mine my love
We'd have and own a farm
Raise kids and many children
Dogs and cats and chickens
Trees, vines and veggies
I'd hold you in the garden
Without a worry in the world

----

You're so close I could,
Reach out and touch you
But the void is infinite
And you a million miles away

There's a man in the middle
He drew lines on paper
And he called you Sally
And me, he called a fool

We're locked in our box-cages
Decked out with perfumages
And dumptruckloads of trinkets
Sea to sea from L'Orient

And if I wrote you a letter
I would say you could do better
Than to live your little life
A fancy dancy honky tonk

Seek the upwards pointing compass
And through prickle and bramble
Find your way to me,
A million miles away

I'll hold you in the garden
Spiders will web beside us
And they'll tell us stories
Told a long long time ago

Back when we were all octopods
Built webs and ate flies
Enjoyed the Spring breeze
And the bearing Summer sun

If you loved me
Would you choose love
Or are you party to temptation
Married to the world

See you later my sweet junebug
I'll watch you fly away
Back to your rainy slumber
A million miles away
