You and I

Old you in me
And young I in you
Share melancholy tales
Love, loss, undo

Alas go I must
In search of half unmet
Exist because I am
Tomorrow, you forget

O road of life
Long, narrow, straight
Make our paths cross
On your road I'll wait

When meet meets meet
Do stay a smile
Live forever you
I, pain worthwhile

Can you love without?
Or self love self regret?
A Half life lived hatred
Whither die half unmet

Will forces draw near?
And blissful will create?
And tomorrow come?
Cheesy postcard fate?

Paths left uncrossed
Out in the world blue
Have you known me?
And I, known you?

Will we dance?
And watch ourselves dance?
Will we love?
Sacrifice sure life to chance?

Can roots crumble rock?
They can if they try
Lets live forever babe
Forever you and I
